A Dash of Pink Velvet
We always consider it a pleasure when we get to work with a designer on a project, especially one so deeply rooted within the community of Santa Barbara. Whitney Duncan, the founder of Lillette Design, has played a pivotal role in the high-end residential world over the past 25 years with a trained eye for design and exceptional taste. We had the opportunity to work with her on one of our first projects located in the foothills of Montecito - an elegant beauty with decadent details.
The Sheer
Imagine yourself in a room with tall ceilings, natural wood flooring, and wide paneled windows. The afternoon light is pouring through your windows, causing the sheer fabric to let off hints of gold, more specifically gold lurex.
Whitney remarks on the client's deep appreciation for modern French and Italian influence, so the sheer was custom-produced through Carajio Textiles to create this captivating look and feel.
Drapes & Blinds
The top drape, a soft pink velvet, is a high caliber textile imported from France, layered with the sheer to create a more full and luxurious layered effect.
The hardware’s inset was done in a beautiful brushed brass finish. The top hardware generates a clean ripple fold in the lush pink draping, and the tie-backs creating a clean and contemporary look to the room.
In the master bathroom, bedroom, and closet, Pampel Design installed motorized roman shades and drapery to enhance the spaces with a functional style - with a unique flare personalized to the client’s taste.

Why We Love Our Interior Designers (and Contractors!)
Two words, creative and practical. We love to come in and envision the work alongside you - by listening and taking the time to understand the design so we can figure out creative and practical ways to make it happen. We like to be on the up and up of what’s new and available, so we can find you that perfect fit - while accounting for all the logistical details behind the design (weight-bearing, space limitations,...etc.). With all the tricks up our sleeves, we’ll find you both cost-efficient solutions and details that will hit the mark on your design, so your expectations aren’t just met, but exceeded.
